In separate actions, Mercy Villanazul is suing the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles and the State of California to recover damages assertedly caused by the negligence of Muriel C. Gregg in the operation of an automobile. The complaints allege that, at the time of the accident, Gregg was a deputy marshal of the Municipal Court of the City of Los Angeles and acting within the scope and during the course of his employment.
