OPINION

MOTLEY, District Judge.

The plaintiffs, a class of employees of the defendant, the City of New York (“City”), brought this action to recover unpaid overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 201 et seq. Both parties moved for summary judgment and Magistrate Judge Ronald L. Ellis recommended that the plaintiffs’ motion be granted in part and denied in part and that the defendant’s motion be granted.
