Plaintiffs brought the instant action against their employer, the County of Nassau (“the County”), the Nassau County Executive, Thomas R. Suozzi (“Suozzi”), and the Nassau County Director of Labor Relations, David S. Greene (“Greene”) (collectively, “defendants”), alleging violations of the United States Constitution under 42 U.S.C. ■§ 1983, the New York State Constitution, and New York State law.
