On November 19,1980, after a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty of the crimes of robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4),1 conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-134, 53a-48,2 and false statement in viola*312tion of General Statutes § 53a-157.3 This appeal followed.

On appeal, the defendant claims that the trial court erred in: (1) overruling the challenge to the jury array from which his trial jury was selected;4 (2) ruling that his coconspirator could invoke his privilege against self-incrimination…
