William Thomas Zeigler, Jr. appeals the denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. We affirm.

BACKGROUND

In 1976, Zeigler was convicted of 2 counts of first degree murder and 2 counts of second degree murder. The historical facts of the murders are set forth in the Florida Supreme Court’s opinion on direct appeal. Zeigler v. State, 402 So.2d 365 (Fla.1981). The jury recommended a sentence of life imprisonment. But, the trial court sentenced Zeigler to death.
