HULL, Circuit Judge:

In this capital case, Duane E. Owen appeals the district court’s denial of his 28 U.S.C. § 2254 petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging his convictions for the murder and sexual battery of Georgianna Worden and his death sentence on the murder conviction.
