Plaintiff brought this action to recover the sum of fifteen hundred dollars as the reasonable value of legal services rendered by plaintiff’s assignor to defendant. The services rendered by plaintiff’s sssignor were rendered by him: 1. In representing the defendant, as his attorney, in an action for divorce brought against him by his wife in the latter part of the year 1901 or the early part of the year 1902, which action was finally terminated in the early part of the year 1902 by a dismissal by plaintiff of her action; 2.
