Contrary to his pleas, the appellant was convicted by a general court-martial, with officer members, of attempting to illegally bring firearms into the United States, conspiring to bring firearms into the United States, and failure to notify proper authority and turn over captured or abandoned enemy property, in violation of Articles 80, 81, and 103, Uniform Code of Military Justice [UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 881, 903.
