The bills in these three separate causes were filed by the State, on tile relation of citizens and taxpayers of Loudon County, against the .defendants, to enjoin them from exercising the functions. of their respective offices to which they had been elected at the last regular judicial election, but from which the Legislature, at its last session, by resolution, and by laws abolishing . the chancery division and judicial *627circuit in which the defendants had been respectively elected, had removed them.
