Chinyere Uzoukwu’s two-year tenure of employment with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (“COG”) was marked by a series of conflicts and bizarre interactions with her supervisors and coworkers. After she was terminated — purportedly due to an overall reduction in force — Uzoukwu sued, alleging that she had been discriminated against because of her Nigerian ethnicity.
