DECISION

GREGORY, Judge:

Appellant was tried by a general court-martial military judge. Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted of communicating a threat to injure a hostess at a bar in Iwakuni, Japan, and of both attempting to murder and assaulting with intent to murder a fellow Marine in the bar, in violation of Articles 134, 80, and again 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 934, 880. He was sentenced to a bad conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for two years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to pay grade E-l. The convening authority approved the…
