This was an action by the appellee against the appellants. The complaint is predicated on the twelfth section of the act of February 27th, 1873, to regulate the sale of intoxicating liquors, etc. Acts of 1873, p. 151. The substantial facts of the complaint are these: that the defendant Thomas J. English was the owner of part of a lot, w-ith a building thereon, in Greensburgh; that James C.
