Pursuant to the provisions of section 205e of the Emergency Price Control Act of 1942 (56 Stats. 23 as amended, 50 U.S.C.A. App. §901 et seq.), the administrator of the Office of Price Administration brought this action against Agnes Corsey, James Hayes and Hazel Slaughter, to recover treble damages for collection of excessive rents in violation of section 4 of that act, and of the rent regulations issued by the administrator in the Los Angeles Defense Rental Area.
