The parties to this case intermarried in January, 1920. They lived together as husband and wife for twenty years. Early in 1940 they separated, and, on July 17th of that year, they entered into an agreement in writing in the nature of a property settlement. The agreement divided between them the property which they had accumulated during the marriage. In the division, the plaintiff received the family home in Portland, with furniture and equipment, and $1500 in cash. The defendant received certain stocks and bonds, and an automobile.
