MEMORANDUM OPINION
EDWARD ELLINGTON, Chief Judge.
This proceeding came on for hearing upon the objection of Copiah Bank, N.A. to confirmation of the Debtor’s chapter 13 plan. Copiah Bank asserts that the Debt- or’s proposed plan violates Bankruptcy Code § 1322(b)(2) by attempting to modify the Bank’s rights arising out of a short term promissory note, secured only by the Debtor’s residence, that had matured prior to the Debtor’s petition for relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
