Plaintiff, ID Security Systems Canada, Inc. (“ID Security”), brought this federal antitrust and state law action against Checkpoint Systems, Inc. (“Checkpoint”). ID Security contends that Checkpoint has engaged in illegal monopolization and attempted monopolization and has conspired to restrain commerce in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act with respect to electronic article surveillance (“EAS”) tags.
