HOLLAND, Justice.
The plaintiff-appellant, Cynthia Greco (“Greco”), filed a civil action in the Superi- or Court on December 20, 1989 against the defendants-appellees, the University of Delaware, (“the University”), the University of Delaware Student Health Center (“the Student Health Center”) 1 and Lori Talbot, M.D. (“Dr. Talbot”). Each defendants’ answer to Greco’s complaint denied negligence and asserted the affirmative defense of the statute of limitations.
