EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Appellant was tried at Hahn Air Base in Germany by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial on charges that on September 14, 1978, he had possessed 68.7 grams of marihuana while on a train and on the following day had possessed 22.08 grams of marihuana and 1.94 grams of cocaine at his private off-base apartment.1 Sergeant Ravine pleaded not guilty and was convicted only of possessing marihuana on the train on September 14. Thereupon he was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for 12 months, forfeiture of $400 pay…
