EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Appellant was tried by a general court-martial military judge sitting alone, on May 8-9, 1979, at Hahn Air Base, Germany. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of possessing on September 15, 1978, 22.08 grams of marihuana and 1.94 grams of cocaine, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct dis*273charge, forfeiture of $200 pay per month for 5 months, and reduction to E-2.
