Dow City is a small station on the line of the Chicago & North Western Railway Company, in the western part of Crawford County, Iowa. The line of the railroad running from Chicago to Omaha is at that point double tracked and the depot is on the south side of its- tracks. The stock yards at said station are situated south of the main line tracks and also south of the spur track and located east of the station approximately 500 feet.
