This appeal involves the application of the statute of limitations to a medical malpractice action brought by a parent on behalf of a minor child. Three issues are raised in this appeal by appellant Karen Shelton as the mother of the minor child, Nathan Piccirilli: (1) the general savings statute should apply to toll the two-year statute of limitations for medical malpractice actions; (2) Shelton’s own claims for medical expenses are not barred by the two-year statute of limitations but should exist as long as the minor child’s cause of action does; and (3) a genuine…
