This action, centering about charges of securities fraud, has its inception in marital and family strife. Plaintiffs Irving and Gertrude Appel, husband and wife, and their son Michael are the trustees of the employee pension trust (“Trust”) of the Welling International Corporation, a closely-held Connecticut corporation. The plaintiffs are all residents of the state of Connecticut, as are all the beneficiaries of the Trust.
