We granted the state’s petition for review of a decision of the court of appeals granting a new trial to defendant, King Buachee Lee, a leader in the Hmong-American immigrant community in St. Paul convicted of three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree for three separate acts of rape of two different Hmong-American immigrant women.
