On April 21, 2004, Robert Larson was indicted for first-degree murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.185(1) (2008), aiding and abetting first-degree murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.05 (2008), second-degree murder in violation of Minn. Stat. § 609.19, subd. 1(1) (2008), and aiding and abetting second-degree murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.05, for his role in the death of Thomas John Cady, Jr. Robert Larson and his sister, Jamie Larson, were both indicted for their involvement in the killing, and they were tried separately.1 The jury found Larson…
