Bedford Somerset MHMR (Employer) asks whether the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board (Board) erred in reversing a Workers’ Compensation Judge’s (WCJ) decision that denied Linda Turner’s (Claimant) petition for review of a utilization review (UR) determination. The WCJ found Claimant’s use of the narcotic pain medication Fentanyl, in lozenge form, was not reasonable and necessary because of its addictive nature and because it is not approved for use in connection with Claimant’s condition.
