DURRANT, Justice:

{1 Defendant-appellant Alexander Bybee ("Bybee") appeals a district court order denying a motion to suppress his confession. We affirm.

BACKGROUND

I 2 In mid-August 1996, a six-year-old boy disappeared in Big Water, Kane County, Utah. The boy was last seen leaving the home of Bybee, who was then one week shy of his seventeenth birthday.
