Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Alfano, J.), rendered February 6, 1984, convicting him of attempted *1016murder in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The evidence adduced at trial established beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was guilty of attempted murder in the first degree. The evidence that the defendant fired 6 to 8 shots at the uniformed police officer at close range, and continued to shoot at the police officer after he had fallen, was sufficient to establish that the…
