OPINION

LOPEZ, Justice.

This interlocutory appeal questions whether firefighter/paramedics are entitled to official immunity when they respond to an emergency call. The appellants, Anthony Carrola and Richard Gonzales, are firefighter/paramedics for the City of San Antonio who were sued for the wrongful death of Esperanza Guillen by the appellees, Enrique L. Guillen and Enrique L. Guillen, II (collectively, Guillen). Carrola and Gonzales appeal the denial of their motion for summary judgment based on official immunity.
