On November 8, 1988, Amato P. Zaccone, Executor of the Estate of Violet M. Zaccone, Deceased, filed the above captioned ease against the American Red Cross (Red Cross), Saint Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, and three doctors. 1 Plaintiff alleges that the Red Cross was negligent in processing and supplying blood infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which infected his wife Violet M.
