OPINION AND ORDER

SCHEINDLIN, District Judge.

Plaintiffs bring this action against the City of New York (“City”) and its Police Department (“NYPD”) (collectively, “defendants”) on behalf of themselves and those similarly situated, alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”). 1 Defendants now move to dismiss the first count of the Amended Complaint (“Count One”) for failure to state a claim, pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(6). 2 Defendants also seek to join the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (“PBA”) and the Detectives’ Endowment Association (“DEA”)…
