OPINION

EHRLICH, Presiding Judge.

Russell Lee Cid (“defendant”) appeals from his conviction and sentence for second-degree escape. For the following reasons, we affirm the judgment.

FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on November 27, 1992, Navajo County Jail guards and Sheriffs Deputies, responding to a security alarm, discovered the defendant and another inmate in the ceiling of the jail.
