(After stating the foregoing facts.) Special ground 1 complains of the testimony of a witness for the defendant, elicited on cross-examination, concerning the contents of an unidentified letter which had been sent to the Columbian organization by some unidentified person. This ground contends that the contents of the letter, which was gone into by the witness, was prejudicial to the defendant, and although it was later withdrawn from the consideration of the jury and the jury instructed by the trial court to disregard it, it is contended that the minds of the jurors were probably already…
