Nicholas A. Chiaramonte sued his former employer, Fashion Bed Group, Inc. (“FBG”), alleging that FBG improperly terminated him because of his age. FBG argued that it discharged Chiaramonte for financial rea- . sons. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of FBG. The issue on appeal is whether Chiaramonte has presented evidence sufficient to withstand the summary judgment motion by showing that FBG’s rationale for the termination was a pretext for age discrimination.
