Plaintiff Charles Howard brings this action pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), 29 U.S.C. § 201 et seq., to recover unpaid overtime wages allegedly owed to him by defendant, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (the “Port Authority”), which employed him as a helicopter pilot. Howard contends that the Port Authority unlawfully categorized him, as well as other helicopter pilots, as exempt from the FLSA’s overtime requirements and therefore failed to pay him the time-and-a-half overtime compensation to which he was otherwise…
