The plaintiff, Benjamin Tedesco, brought a complaint that included a 42 U.S.C. § 19831 claim for damages against the defendant,2 the city of Stamford, *452for violation of the plaintiffs procedural due process rights in terminating him from his employment. The trial court found in favor of the plaintiff and awarded him damages and attorney’s fees pursuant to § 1983.
