On July 23, 1906, Mary C. Gamble, the then owner, recorded in the office of the register of deeds of Wayne county her plat of “City Heights subdivision of the south 330.70 feet of the north ½ of ¼, section 24 — 10,000-acre tract,” being a strip of land, of the width stated, in the village of Highland Park, lying adjacent to the north boundary , of the city of Detroit, extending east and west between Woodward and Oakland avenues, which run north and south, Oakland being east of Woodward.
