The action arises on a petition for a writ of mandate by the city and county of San Francisco against the board of supervisors and the district attorney of Tuolumne County, asking for a writ of mandate compelling such board of supervisors to have entered upon the minutes of said board an order directing the auditor of the county of Tuolumne to cancel certain assessments for taxes for the fiscal years 1911 and ’12, and 1912 and ’13; and likewise directing such board of supervisors to direct the auditor of said county of Tuolumne to cancel any other assessments which may have been levied by the…
