This appeal is by a contractor corporation which was defeated in the court below in an attempt to recover from a school district for labor and material furnished in the erection of a public school building. Two defenses were presented, the one that the cost of the building exceeded the amount authorized by the vote of the electors, the other that plaintiff’s contract carried the debt of the district beyond its constitutional limit.
