This case involves claims of breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation arising out of the termination of the plaintiff's employment. The trial court granted summary judgment for the defendants on all counts, and we affirm.

The plaintiff was employed by American Industries in Conway, Arkansas, in 1982. In that year, he was interviewed by Anthony (Tony) Lestingi, acting president of Quartrol Corporation, for a position as manufacturing engineering manager at Quartrol's Birmingham plant.
