The defendant was charged with the larceny of a diamond pin in an information filed against him by the assistant district attorney for the Parish of Orleans. The ownership of the pin was laid in Mrs. Ethel Staehle. On the trial of the case Mrs. Frederick Staehle, Fiederiek Staehle and several other witnesses were placed on the stand and testified as witnesses • for the State and were cross-examined on behalf of the defendant.
