The plaintiff, Jack Hansen, alleges that the defendant, the board of education of School District No. 65 (hereinafter board), illegally reduced his salary and removed or dismissed him without a hearing, both in contravention of the Illinois School Code (hereinafter Code) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 122, par. 24 — 12). The circuit court had previously granted defendant’s motion to dismiss the plaintiff’s complaint. That decision was reversed by this court in an order pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 23 (87 Ill. 2d R. 23), and the cause was remanded for the circuit court to consider additional…
