I. Introduction
In New Jersey, as in many other parts of our nation, we are often faced with *256certain seemingly unresolvable conundrums: For instance, is a tomato a fruit or vegetable? Should the breakfast meat be called pork roll or Taylor ham? Fortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court has stepped in to resolve the former1, and the latter is unlikely ever to be decided to everyone’s satisfaction.
