I. Introduction
Appellant Sabrina Burrus entered open pleas of guilty to the charged offenses of bribery and theft of stolen property of between $100,000 and $200,000 by a public servant. The trial court sentenced Burrus to thirty-five years’ confinement on the theft charge and ten years’ confinement on the bribery charge. In three issues, Bur-rus argues that her trial counsel was ineffective, that the trial court erred by not setting an evidentiary hearing on her motion for new trial, and that the evidence is factually insufficient to support her…
