OPINION

Before BOOCHEVER, C. J., and RABI-NOWITZ, CONNOR, ERWIN and BURKE, JJ. CONNOR, Justice.

Pursuant to a plea bargain, on July 10, 1974, David D. Lewis pleaded guilty to receiving and concealing stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Imposition of sentence was suspended, and he was placed on probation.

Almost ten months later, on April 30, 1975, Lewis moved to vacate his convictions and withdraw his guilty pleas1 on the ground that the trial court had not followed the procedure specified in Criminal Rule 11 to insure that the guilty…
