OPINION
MARTHA HILL JAMISON, Justice.
On May 11, 2012, relator, USA Waste Management Resources, L.L.C., filed a pe tition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov’t Code § 22.221; see also Tex.R.App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asked this court to compel the Honorable Jaclanel McFarland, presiding judge of the 133rd District Court of Harris County, to vacate her ruling denying Waste Management’s motion for protection and to enter an order granting the motion.
