OPINION

SULLIVAN, Judge.

Seottie Edwards appeals his conviction for Attempted Murder. 1 He presents three issues for our review, which we restate as:(1) whether the trial court gave an erroneous jury instruction regarding the requisite mens rea for attempted murder;(2) whether the trial court erred in failing to instruct the jury on the lesser included offense of Battery; 2 and(3) whether defendant’s statement to police should have been admitted.
