This is an appeal from a decision of the trial court enjoining the defendants, the New Haven board of education (board) and John Dow, Jr., the superintendent of schools for New Haven, from terminating the employment contracts of ten school administrators and eliminating nine administrative positions. The plaintiffs, the school administrators association of New Haven (union) and nineteen indi*377vidual administrators, brought suit against the defendants alleging that the board’s consideration of the dismissal of some of the plaintiffs and its elimination of the positions of others were invalid.…
