Appellant-plaintiff State of Indiana (the State) appeals the trial court’s judgment in favor of appellee-defendant Universal Outdoors, Inc. (Universal) in a condemnation action that the State filed against Universal. Specifically, the State argues that the trial court erred by finding that the State did not properly file its exceptions pursuant to Indiana Code section 32-24-1-11, which resulted in a judgment in favor of Universal.
