WEST, J.
The defendant, David Berzins, appeals from the trial court’s judgment of dissolution following the denial of his motion to open the judgment rendered upon default. On appeal, the defendant claims that the court improperly determined that he failed to satisfy the requirements set forth in General Statutes § 52-212 (a) for granting a motion to open a default judgment. 1 We disagree with the defendant and affirm the judgment of the court.
