I. INTRODUCTION

Before the court are Defendants’ motion for summary judgment (Def. MSJ (Dkt, #33)) and Plaintiffs motion for partial summary judgment (Plf. MSJ (Dkt. # 42)). This case arises because Defendant University of Washington (“the University”) denied Plaintiff Timothy Hargrave tenure and a promotion to associate professor.
